Eric Gerdes
Owner, President & GM
Eric has been in the Electrical industry over 30 years and worked in all aspects of the job. From an electrical apprentice to a field general foreman running small to multi-million dollar commercial/industrial electrical projects, to Project Managing, Field Managing, and Estimating, he has worn every hat, often times several at once. Eric has been with Five Star Electric since the fall of 2004 and is currently the Owner/President as well as General Manager. He manages up to 25 electricians at multiple job sites; he is an Estimator and Project Manager, coordinating directly with our customers to make sure projects run smooth from start to finish. As Owner, Eric oversees the Administrative and Financial aspects of the company. He takes a personal, organized approach to every project Five Star is involved with, ensuring total customer satisfaction upon completion.
Caleb Coleman
Estimator & Project Manager
Caleb brought a wealth of electrical knowledge and a solid base of contacts with him when he joined our office as an Estimator in 2017. With 20+ years as an Electrician, he possesses a wealth of experience in all aspects of the industry. He began in the field as an electrical apprentice, completed school and tested for his Journeyman license, and in later years became a Signing Supervisor. He has trained other apprentices, worked on multiple projects in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, and has run projects of all sizes as a Foreman and Superintendent. He later decided to take his expertise to the Estimating side of things, and currently is a proficient Electrical Estimator who also likes to Project Manage his awarded jobs
Ellen Goodrich
Accounting Manager
Ellen began her Accounting career in the electrical field in 1996, and has stayed with the industry her entire career. Having been with Five Star Electric since the first day we opened, she ensures our records are accurate and our processes efficient. She maintains the financial records of our company, closely monitors job progress and cost, and is avid about putting proper accounting procedures in place and training staff to follow them. As part of the Finance team, Ellen works closely with outside consultants that play an important role in our business. Ellen works hard to maintain long-term business relationships with our customers, vendors and consultants.
Jason Pitts
Service Manager
Jason joined our team as a Journeyman in 2010. He quickly proved to have an impressive grasp of the many aspects of electricity and controls. Over his years with us, Jason has become incredibly proficient with control panels and industrial equipment hook-ups and troubleshooting. He enjoys a challenge and seeks to help his customers achieve efficiency in their operations. As our Service Manager, Jason is enjoying bidding service work as well as overseeing large industrial and controls projects. He maintains several long-standing customer relationships, helping Five Star Electric be the go-to for the electrical needs of these companies. Jason is not afraid to go after new types of work, and has helped us expand our Five Star Services branch, completing excavation work, pole bases and other electrical service-related small construction tasks.
Jason Ginsbach
Construction Manager
Jason began his career as an electrician in 1998, and came to Five Star Electric in 2012 as a seasoned electrical foreman with experience running large and small crews. He has played an integral part in the continued growth of our company, from working in the field running jobs to taking on the role of Service Manager, to his current role as Construction Manager. He also manages our Manpower and Scheduling, and works closely with our electricians and customers on all our large commercial projects. Jason also puts on his tool-belt and Electrician hat regularly as we work hard to complete projects timely in what is often a very busy construction season. Jason endeavors to mentor our electricians as he oversees the jobs they work on.
Eric Knudson
Estimator
Eric came to Five Star Electric in 2011 with a Software Engineering degree and solid background in computers and IT support. He had spent some time as a Shop Driver/Parts Manager with an electrical shop and was ready for a new challenge and an opportunity to use this recently acquired knowledge. With this interest in the electrical field, he was excited to learn electrical estimating, and how a project goes from bid stage to work completion. Eric quickly gained knowledge and understanding of estimating and was being awarded projects in no time. Eric has a sense of accomplishment when our electricians successfully complete a project that he bid, and he stays involved in the entire process.
